Safety Zone
Safety ZoneImproving Safety on the Jobsite

Developed with the assistance of SBCA’s California Chapter, the Safety Zone materials are designed to provide an industry-wide improved approach to designating a safety zone for off-loading trusses at a jobsite.

If you have any questions or comments about these materials, please contact Melanie Birkeland at 608/310-6720.

“We use the Safety Zone signs as an educational tool for framers and contractors. When we pull up to a jobsite and set them out, the workers on the jobsite are amazed at the amount of room required for unloading our 48’ roll-offs. Often they’ll stop and watch, too. The signs have definitely improved safety at the jobsite and we will continue to use them.”
– Gary Sartor, Stone Truss Company, Inc., Oceanside CA
