Introduce your students to the world of component manufacturing at BCMC 2018 in Milwaukee!

 

Students at BCMCStudents at BCMCCareer opportunities abound in this $8+ billion industry. From designers to accountants, component builders to programmers, truck drivers to salespeople, there is a need for a wide variety of talent in component manufacturing.

Student Day at BCMC will begin at 1 pm with a short presentation by members of SBCA's Emerging Leaders Committee, followed by a guided tour of the exhibit floor by your local manufacturer. Students will see a wide variety of component manufacturing equipment and software demonstrations that highlight the technology and automation of an industry whose products are used in three-quarters of all residential construction. After the tour, students will reconvene for refreshments and a Q&A session with local manufacturers, suppliers and young leaders in the industry. [Read more about 2017 event.]

Groups are limited to five students* and one instructor per component manufacturer. Registration is free, but space is limited. Complete this form by October 15 to reserve your tickets today or contact staff with questions or to be connected with a manufacturer in your area.

*Must be full-time high school, technical school or college student not currently employed by a component manufacturer. Per BCMC policy, students must be at least 15 years old to be admitted onto the show floor and must be accompanied by an adult.
