Workforce Development Board/Locator by state Workforce Development Boards (or "WDBs") are regional entities created to implement the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 in the United States.The WDB's main role is to direct federal, state and local funding to workforce development programs. WORK OPPORTUNITY TAX CREDIT

Work Opportunity Tax Credit
Federal tax credit available to employers for hiring individuals from certain target groups who have consistently faced significant barriers to employment. Tax credit ranges from $1,200 to $9,600, depending on the group from which an employee is hired, i.e. veteran, family-assistance recipient, etc.
