Tuesday, February 19 2019 1:00pm (America/Chicago)

Finding qualified employees is a common challenge in our industry. This webinar will cover the many reasons to hire U.S. military veterans and how making a commitment to invest in this highly disciplined labor pool is an innovative way to recruit new employees and build a strong, lasting workforce of leaders in your company. Carl Allison and Scott McDonald, both veterans themselves, share their insights about how to best find, hire and train individuals as they prepare to leave the military for civilian careers.

Carl and Scott are also joined by Jason Kindle, a former Marine Corporal who has been with 84 Lumber since 2016. Jason started as a truss design trainee and was promoted to general manager of their location in Dunn, North Carolina. Jason feels fortunate to have found a company that rewards the type of work ethic he developed as a Marine. He shares about his experience transitioning from the military to a career in the components industry.
