WHAT IS SCORE? SCORE is a certification program created for the structural building components industry at the request of WTCA members. The program is comprised of other WTCA programs and products that many members are already using. Each level of SCORE has a set of requirements, all of which are WTCA resources; SCORE simply packages them into one neat certification.
WHAT SCORE CAN DO FOR YOU. Getting SCORE-certified can help you in many areas of your business. It can help you protect your company, it can save you money on WTCA programs and dues, it can help with team building, and it can give you effective tools to demonstrate your company's commitment to excellence.
To learn more about how SCORE can do all of these things for you, please visit the SCORE benefits page.
WHAT SCORE IS NOT. WTCA's philosophy is to be a member/industry support system for your company. Your company's name is what matters in the marketplace. Therefore, SCORE is not a program meant to promote WTCA. Rather, it is one way to show that your company aims to excel—which also helps to foster general industry excellence. Additionally, the SCORE certification program does not exist to make a profit for WTCA. This is why it has no cost beyond the cost of participating in existing WTCA programs, which is something many members have always done.
HOW TO ATTAIN CERTIFICATION. Purchasing a SCORE program package subscription is the best way to work toward certification, and you'll save money on due and fees at the same time! There are three SCORE certification levels, allowing individual plants to choose their own degree of involvement (see below). Once your plant is meeting the requirements for the SCORE level you would like to attain, you're ready to certify! Please contact WTCA Staff to let us know.
