2019 Lean Workshop

Join Lean professionals from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business for a half-day workshop on Lean manufacturing.

The workshop will help attendees further their understanding of the Operational Excellence (OpEx) and Six-Sigma Lean Principles, value stream mapping, developing effective countermeasures and process maps. Participants will learn in a hands-on and group-work environment and walk away with a better understanding of how to implement Lean principles, identify waste, re-design processes for flow, 5S, and visual management techniques.

Keynote Speakers:

Rick Guba, The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business

Rick was most recently an MBB Lean Six Sigma for GE Aviation, where he worked for 35 years. Rick served in a number of roles while at GE, including his most recent role of managing Lean transformation in the 87 Aviation division global facilities. Rick is a graduate of Fisher MBOE program. In 2016, Rick joined Fisher to teach and serve as a coach in the MBOE program. He is also teaching in the Executive Education program, helping Fisher clients along their OpEx journeys.   

Jill Treece, The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business

Jill is a senior lecturer at the Fisher College of Business. She began her career as a registered nurse and has nearly two decades in the healthcare industry. Jill has experience leading large hospital redesign and construction projects, including leading teams through workflow design and optimization. She has coached in Fisher’s Executive Education, Masters of Business Operational Excellence program since 2015, and continues to teach in several offerings at the business school.

$100 for SBCA members, $250 for non-members
